The floor was covered from the blowout, vomit drying on the wall.
Shaken, he got up, and moving through his apartment he scanned the rooms,
as quick as he could.
Already, he wasn't sure. Had he lost it? Where had it gone?
The boxer next door wasn't barking for the first time in awhile.
He moved to the window, over sleeping bodies passed out on the floor.
He peered out, and there was nothing where his neighbour’s house had been.
A vacant lot had just replaced it in the night.
